Best way to handle a nagging spouse

I used to have an ex partner like this. I was so annoyed in all she does to me. She even transferred to my university just to be with me. In my mind at that time, I am not free to do what I want in my life.

In my view, a partner nags because there is an issue or issues that need to be addressed. They just need to talk hear-to-heart to deal with their concerns.
