This is a tactical question. I think that it depends on the cost of the transportation. If it is that much to affect the profit of the supplier significantly, then they should split it.

You are right but from my little experience the supplier would have to pay for the transportation since he or she would be making profit too

In my country, the sellers are usually the ones who pay the transportation costs. However, it depends what would be the outcome of their negotiation process. Thus, it is case to case basis.

It's usually the buyer or the retail seller who has to pay for transportation, just like the the suppliers are also responsible for all their own costs include transportation.

The seller has to be the one to pay, the supplier is simply Carrying out his or her job. If you need a particular product, you have to pay for it.

It solely depends on the agreement between the seller and buyer. Though the agreement may be implied or verbal. Most times, the lot falls on the seller . In this kind of scenario, the seller use to add the price of transportation to the price of the goods.

I think that depends on the agreement reached between the seller and the supplier. My impression is that in general, the suppliers here pay for the delivery cost which includes transportation costs.
