If we look closely, most of the TV channels that we watch daily have their app now and we can get it's subscription to watch on phone or laptop or computer so this can get replaced soon.
I doubt it because cable TV is collections of TV channels. In a family, there are different tastes. I prefer football and sports generally but my wife prefer season movies. My children are only interested in cartoons. To protect this interest, we need one subscription that will cover all our interest at once. Therefore cable TV will likely stay longer.
Its only a matter of time. These days people prefer using their smart gagets to watch their favorite channels simply cause they can access it at anytime and anywhere. The only thing stopping most people is the cost of data.
