Can a person earn a living through poker?

I have known of a man who has no real work apart from playing poker. He is doing well with his family.

This has always got me wondering if someone can earn a living through full time playing of poker?

Probably he is an amateur. Poker is a game that is highly sophisticated. And if you flow with it, overtime, you would make it big.

I think so. He decided not to play Poker anymore, which I think is good. He has job, and invested in some companies which is better.

There are too many people that are living on sports betting around me. I really admire their guts but that won't work for me.
