Causes of verbal abuse in the workplace

Verbal abuse can come up in the workplace for a variety of reasons. some employeers become verbally abusive because of family history, a traumatic past experiences, it could just be their personality, and some people just want to be domineering and want to control the employee by making the victim which is the employee feel bad about his or herself.

I have not experienced verbal abuse. in case there is that person is mentally sick She or he lacks control. He must not bring his problem at home to work. That person might be advised to resign.

I have not experienced verbal abuse in the workplace. If such an incident occurs, it should be reported to the Human Resources Department. The personnel in HR should interview the person making the abuse and find out the causes of his/her behavior. If the situation is serious, the person should resign or not allow to work until his/her condition improves.

I agree with you. However, there are some higher-ups do this intentionally. I had experienced this when still working in China in an American company. I did not let it pass and confronted this person.

A verbal abuse sometime seems to be very common in many organisation but it always results in the lack of production, de motivation and sometime it causes much more bigger problem more than our expectation.

Yeah verbal abuse is real and very common in many companies and organisation but it always results in the lack of production, employee lacking motivation etc . I think the employers be mindful

I think it has to do more with the training some of these people received growing up. They were not trained to be courteous and they grew with it and bring it to the workplace. They are the ones that cause toxicity in a work environment.

Sure, some people are not polite at all They are just rude to everyone and very abusive . I agree they are the ones that cause toxicity in a firm

I have actually experienced verbal abuse at work by my boss because of her selfish intentions towards me which I declined. It got too much for me and ended up leaving the job.
