A handy man is one who fixes things around houses and the likes, one major challenge faced by does in this line of work is proving to actually know you skills. At the early stage, most persons might not be willing to trust you with fixing their things cause they are not sure if you are actually good at what you do.

It's also delicate if there's someone disguising to be skilled in handling specific tools for a repair. That person may be charged as an impostor. No one dares to apply as a handy man of haven't finished a vocational course to acquire skills.

True, but not everyone who goes through these trainings are actually skilled enough to handle some jobs. Like am sure you have seen some persons who are so good at what they do compared to others in that same field. Over here we have a lot of them, they will end up causing more damage to your job instead of repairing it.
Agree with that, those who pretended they could repair ended up in jail. They are comparable to scammers. The materials used are expensive and vulnerable, so they have to pay the crime. It is good to ask for their certificates of completion as skilled handlers.

Lol we have a lot of them here, I think if we start taking things more seriously like asking them for their certifications like you said and strict laws are put in place and backed legally, there will definitely be a decrease.
That is right, it is not a joke hiring people to handle problems at home. Just consider the materials and the services only to see the results badly done. And they cannot buy the materials for replacement or pay the homeowners, so they better stay behind bars.

In a case where there is only wastage of materials is even better, it could be worse where by the thing might lead to death or serious injury. Like I have heard of cases where the car of electrical problem was not well repaired, it end up causing an accident.
It is not happening here, the electricians are skilled and they can not work in a big company if not having a good track record during college, OJT, and experiences. One may land in jail if faking their skills.

Yes that's the best way to go about it cause it's a sensitive thing so one has to be sure they have gone through all the needed training before going out to take jobs from others.
Others despite having no certificate to show to the employer but a track record of experience, could prove their worth to get hired. They could prove it through actual demonstration of how to do the work responsibly and effectively.
