Changing Software

I see a lot of website owners changing software on their sites. They start with one software to build their website and later change their mind and start using another software. For instance, they start a community with IPS and then decide to move to Xenforo, or start with Wix and then convert to Wordpress. Have you changed your website software? How often do you do it?

Currently I have some plans for change software. I have my simpole script on website in signature but I will change it into Wordpress. Wordpress have excelent registration system and I don't have to build it from start.

I haven't changed my forum software since back when Xenforo was released. Prior to that, I was using vBulletin and when Xenforo was released I moved over to that and have never looked back.

I have used free-hosted software as well in the past but when I use free-hosted I tend to stay with that.

I think those that change the software on their sites have their various reasons and it must be a beneficial one for them to think about changing and actually changing
