Competing for a promotion healthy or not?

If you think you can compete because you're entitled to a promotion why not. Do you have a good mindset and risk oriented. The risk there is if you could do an overtime without pay, attend seminar workshops and echo them at your own expense. Can you also manage to do projects that boosts profit to the company. If you're good all these then proceed.

I don't think there is anything wrong with competing for a promotion, rather it would be how they go about it. Healthy competition is always good for the business, as it would make the employees go an extra mile in putting in their best.

The problem is if there is no overtime pay and during seminar workshops attended, he or she will be the one to shoulder the expenses like are and food and re-echo the said seminar.
