Sbf has committed a grave offence and people will not want to go down the drain with the company and that is why they are returning the donations.

That committee did nothing; FTX itself is asking for a refund, but no politician is ready to return what they got. It is not clear yet whether the new management of FTX will continue to fight or will just ignore this.
It is true that the committee did not commit any offence but some organisation would want to wash their hands off guilt.
