I think so many people trust government bonds because they believe that anything that has to do with the government or anything that is relating to the government will be highly secured unlike the private ones
Apparently, government bonds are issued by government whereas corporate bonds are issued by private companies. I have invested in some government bonds. I think it is more secure than corporate bonds.
I have government bonds, of course the main consideration is that government bonds will be safer than corporate bonds, but government bonds provide smaller returns, sometimes only less than bank deposits. The main difference is of course the issuer, government bonds are more liquid than corporate bonds.
