Do employees effectively generate profits?

Some employees such as human resources, administration and accounting staff may not contribute directly to generate profit for the business. But they certainly contribute to the success of the business by hiring talented staff, running an efficient operation and managing the finance of the business in a professional manner.
Yes, employees are the backbone of any company. Without employees, you can't always progress and build up your business. Employees have their own position and their own targets that they need to achieve within the business to help the business work and keep moving. The more targets that are hit the better the business will be and the more profits will come in from that. Without employees, you will not see much of a profit.
They do that's why they are there on the first place without that I don't think they would have been able to keep their jobs.

Hmm what departments do you consider as the ones that do not generate profit?
The profits of a company belongs to it's employees because they are the ones who work.
I think it is about sharing between the employee and the employer. And it is the employer that will pay the employee
To an extent, I think increasing employees is a sign of growth or can guarantee growth rather, imagine owning a manufacturing company where you package bottled water, and the demand is so high that few hands can't control it, you will definitely need to get more employees thereby getting more profit.

Definitely, employer is paying the employees but why did he/she employed them? Because he/she need them to work.
Yeah and it is from this work that profit is generated which is good for everyone involved.
Every employee play a part in the overall profit generation of any company or organization. In an organization, employees are the backbone of every business.
