Do You Check the SEO of You Competitors

I was using Semrush and it seems that it's possible to check out the keywords your competitors are ranking for, amongst other metrics.

That also means that your information can be seen by others which I didn't feel comfortable with.
How can you use the SEO information of your competition to help in ranking your blog higher?

Well, I frequently check my competitors' site to see what they are doing and what I am missing. You will be able to outsmart your competitors only when you frequently check them

I used to check the SEO of my competitors many years ago but I will admit, I have not done this in a while.

It is a little worrying that competitor sites can be checked but I also feel it helps keep things lively and also helps site owners stay on their toes to do better as well.
