That is best to give something in return to the customer who brings another customer, It could also be a small commission if that is part of the business planning.

There is a certain doctor nextto where I work. He pays 3% of the amount charged to a paitent to the person who reffered said paitent. Everytime somebody says they are sick I reffer them.to him and he actually pays me at the end of the month.

Doing this kind gestures to customer who bring in another customer is part of motivation. It is moreless like affiliate marketing type where commissions are paid.

That's not a bad idea, but do not do it too often, cause most of these customers would feel like they are entitled to always get something when they refer. Or you could start a competition, the persons with the highest referrals gets a specific price.

You don't have to pay them. You just show appreciation to them. That could be in the form of a free product. But paying them is completely unnecessary. It is not an exchange.

Paying customers for bringing people to buy from you is a good idea because it will encourage them to refer you to more people. But I feel it is better to give them discount instead

Rewarding customers for referring people is a very good way to retain customers and show a means of appreciation. This can also draw a lot of new people to the business

Not really but expression of my gratitude towards them like making sure there is 24/7 communication any offer a discount or a reward to that customer who referred others to my business in the form of a voucher, a free product and good customer service.

Instead of paying customers for bringing people, I feel it's better to give them discount on their next purchase or give them some out of the product you are selling

When you pay everyone that refers another customer, you might run broke. Unless the pay is very marginal. It shouldn't be a huge amount.

I don't do it because am selling provisions. My business don't have such nature because the price of goods use to be the same all over the markets. Secondly, the profit margin is so small and it will be unreasonable to share the profit with somebody.

It sounds like giving commissions to these people. There is nothing wrong if the business has this scheme. It was like having a referral fee virtually. It would be great if we can do this to our businesses.

I would show appreciation by giving them something very small for their time. By doing this I motivate them so that they can continue with that spirit of inviting their friends too to the business.

If not commission we can give them something from our business as token for their loyalty and dedication to our business. They're the source of our profit.
