Do you get freebies from your government?

It is election season here in India and all parties are promising all kinds of freebies. Would you take advantage of any of the freeabies if they are offered to you?

During election season, candidates often give away freebies such as t-shirts or fans. I received a fan from a candidate during a previous election.

I've never gotten any freebie because I live in a surburb that's classified as medium to high income. I have family and friend who've gotten such, especially during elections.

It is still a practice to give freebies to locals before, during, and after elections. I find it not necessary.
