Do You Get yearly Bonus from your employer?

It does feel great when we get something extra other than our salaries and in India, most companies pay these around Diwali time and I would like to know if this thing is popular in other countries too.

We don't get bonus in the company I am with. What we get is not monetary from the company. We get a box of ham and a big cheese. We have on the other hand, called 13th month pay that is mandated by the law.

Yes, we get a bonus on Diwali. It is very helpful as most of the things which we plan to buy we plan it during Diwali when there is a discount on most of the things. I also have planned my insurance premiums through the bonus I get.

Yes, that is true. There is another news from the leader that we will get our Christmas basket on top of the ham and cheese.

I thought you must be getting it on Christmas but that's sad. It is better if you get cash in place of such things you mentioned.

When I was working, I did got yearly bonuses from my employers then. Though the bonuses might not be much, as they were just certain percentage of the normal basic salary then, but they kept motivated us then.

Yeah but there are companies that pay 13th months salary in India too like Police get and some other companies too

I received triple kinds of bonuses from the university. It is so good to feel. Another batch is scheduled every 2d week of June, it is called the mid-year bonus. That is when working in a government office or university. Ts year, the new President gifted each government employee 1 sack of rice.
