Do you give your neighbors discount?

Two days ago, I made my hair in my neighbor’s place and she left for her house because she was in a hurry. Today when she came back to the shop, I asked her how much money she wants to collect for an ordinary all back and she told me a thousand naira.

I asked why and she was giving flimsy excuses but it’s sad because I give her discount anytime she wants to buy something from me. It’s getting me annoyed and I already vowed not to make my hair from her again. Is it a good idea?

In my view, I think it is not good to give discounts for the service. For the reason that we need to incorporate the principle of "Business is a business." Sometimes you can offer promos at random, but not always. It is a part of marketing strategy.

If you are not doing a promo, you are not obligated to give discounts to anyone based on one sentimental reason or the other.

Oh well, I didn’t know and that’s because all back is usually five hundred naira everywhere so I just felt it will be the same price until I was shocked

Hmm this is another point and one problem there is that they will always continue to buy it around the price that you have sold it to them because you already gave them discount earlier

Well that makes sense as long as the discount you gave them does not stop you from having your profit and it is not all the time

I guess its fine as every seller have some sort of profit margin and at least they will have customers that will buy only from them
