Do you go to fiestas?

Today is the feast day of The Child Jesus we fondly call Señor Sto..Nino. It's the patron of our nearby town and we went there to partake in the celebration. With the influx of people gathered in the church ground we can tell that they have come out in the open and no more fear of the Corona virus. It was the first day in the month this year that I finally felt the heat of the sun in my skin. Is summer in the offing? But I still prefer colder nights but no heavy rains.

I don't attend fiestas. There are foods I don't eat like pork and chicken. I eat only beef, fish and veggies of my preference.

In fiestas you are mostly served with pork menu and of course the queen of the table the lechon. It's seldom that seafoods are served but there are beef and chicken and fish menu and some salads.

It's just not my type to attend fiestas even before when I was a teenager hehe. I prefer to attend a birthday party.

Of course birthdays are different because most of the guests are also common friends whereas fiestas are an open to all though lately one will.not go without an invitation. I only go if there's an invitation. It has become a tradition which I really missed when I stayed in Manila.

I only attend if someone invites me since I'm very introvert.

Yes, I used to attend fiestas when I was younger, but it’s been quite a while since my last one. The last time I went, my grandparents were still alive.
