This is one of the best business models because once you create software to provide certain kind of services, you will continue to make money from the same software and there is no need to create another service except for regular update and security patches on your service. I do not have SaaS business but I am planning to create one.

I have worked for a software company working on this business model. The company develops the software and offers it for rental on a monthly subscription basis. The software is delivered via the internet. You need to do upgrades to enhance the features of the software from time to time to retain customers.

I this thing is for the bigger and large businesses. For the small businesses I think this is not worthy for them. The cost of installation, running and maintenance of the software can be too costly for the business.
