I would like to know from those that have experience of setting up a fast food business that how much capital we need to start this business and do they think this business is good now to help us earn our investment at least in 1-2 years or max in 5 years time.

haha this must be a very high amount and I don't think it is even available in India but taking a franchise of a big company or business does cost a lot of money so I am not planning that and was just looking for some tips so if some day I plan to start a business related to fast food then how to go about it and there are no immediate plans for that

Get groceries directly from manufacturer. I think more realistic you it will paid of during 5 years.

Thanks for your reply and answering my question. In India I don't think we need many permits at least in my city but I think in big cities we need permit and approval from Local authorities.

In Europe no matter where you are, permits are same. For vehicle, area, cleaning department, registered business, workers.

That was a very good experience of yours. You learned many things from that food operators. It is a very lucrative business. Big capital is required plus permits to comply.

Even in my area we have one fast food (only pizza and sendwiches) but it only deliver food. You can come and collect but you can't eat in their space since they don't have it. They only have kitchen and delivery vehicle.

Are you referring to a known Fast Food store? If you are making a new one, there are lots of things you need to prepare. And if this is a franchise, it is almost the same process I suppose but it is pricey for sure.

I had worked to a Chinese fast-food before. It was enjoyable and the business is good for people to consume. If I have a lot of money, I would want to franchise this kind of food chain.
