Talking and singing to myself is a very normal thing to me. No matter how l try to control myself not to do that l found myself doing it uncontrollably.
I have been known to sing and talk to myself when I am home alone. I believe it's a comfort thing personally when I am alone but also because I feel much more confident singing when I know people are not around to hear me when I sing.
I have been told I am a good singer but never had that confidence boost to want to sing around others.
I don't talk to myself unless I am thinking out loud. People in my place would interprete it to mean you are losing your mind. For singing to myself, I do that almost every time.
