Does diversity in the workplace increase or decrease tension?

With me, I think it depends on the type of job. Some jobs have issues with diversity, based on certain factors, like needing someone that can physically do the job, and you need stronger people to fill the positions, over people who just want the job for money.

I do not think so. Diversity within the company can bring more ideas that can be diversified and be beneficial to the company, too.
I honestly think that some diversity is needed, but diversity itself is something that some people think needs it in the sense of a workforce that doesn't fit a certain mold of workers. I don't get that part of the diverse workplace, honestly.

I don't think that there is pressure in diversification because I love to diversify my business provided you have professionals that can man different departments.

Diversity in a workplace can be a strength on its own. That's because one day, something might happen in the workplace that requires a particular type of person. And you already have the person in the organisation.

That depends on how the leaders of the organization manage the team with diversified workers. If they foster a cooperative culture, diversity is definitely a strength of the organization. It helps the organization to expand globally and sell to customers with different cultural background.

Well like you said, it mainly depends on the kind of work but i do believe diversity can reduce tension. When a specialist is called to handle a particular job there would be no room for tension cause that's his field.

Diversity is good if everyone want join it and collaborate togethere. In other case in can be unproductive. At my work it is more unproductive. My boss and few more people, with regular work as teacher,want work on different projects. Those projects include other people who don't want join it but project can't go without them. So there is different oppinion and relationship with people are broken.

How diversity will affect the workstation depends so much on the nature and intellectual capacities of the individuals involved. A more enlightened workforce will appreciate and enjoy diversity. On the other hand, unenlightened workforce will increase tension in workplace.

It largely depends on how the diversity is managed. There is a management approach that wouid harness diversity and Maje it to be a strength. There is a management approach that would make it a problem.

I believe that everything depends on the nature or the kind of business that we are looking at because if it's something that is going to cause a lot of friction in a particular business, it is going to be a mistake for you to initiate such kind of system in the business.

Yes I totally agree with you. If fellow workers respect each other and don't demand beyond their abilities, it's even better, complementing each other. Each worker has their own strengths and weaknesses, we use the advantages for the good of the company, as for the drawbacks, try not to harm the company.
