Does tribe have anything to do with business?

Here in my country, there are some set of people who learn that you are from a particular tribe and they would not want to associate with you or even gave any business with you.

This got me wondering if tribe affects the way people think in business or so. Some people always want to make sure that they check your tribe whenever you want to have anything with them.

Does this really matter?
Is tribe really necessary while wanting to do a business with someone?

This happens everywhere and I think in any part of the world so one thing I do is make sure that the business I’m willing to have is done in a place where they all are not tribalistic

It is a normal thing, that is called racism or lowering the esteem of the tribal folks. They might have no education or they have experience differences so that matters most. Fear of the unknown might be the cause.

I agree with you. I always believe that business is a business. It does not need to be involved with the tribe concerns.

Tribe doesn't really have anything to do with business, but there are cases where certain type of business are associated with a particular tribe simply because it's more common over there. Let's take shoe making in Nigeria for example, they mostly associate it to the northerners but there are others who do it.

I think business should not be based on tribe or religion. Business is global and this is what brings people together. Once there are needs there are people to help solve them..
