Former US pret Donald Trump released a series of 45k NFTs; each item was priced at $99, and all of them sold out in 12 hours. This has earned Trump $4.45 million, which might be used in the presidential election.

That is some good news in terms of the former president telling us that he is a seasoned businessman. That is a very good deal to earn such a huge amount of money in the short term in profits. The other thing to note is the fact that this has gained him some political mileage as well and he may likely stand a big chance at the presidency in the next coming elections.

Weird that even presidents are getting into the NFT industry. Although many people are promoting NFTs as a new way to earn and be rich, I still feel skeptical about them. Jpegs worth $100? I might as well screenshot them :geek:

There are already many screenshots and right click copy / downloads, but minting NFT is different.

Yeah I'm generally talking about the NFT industry where massive money laundering takes place. Buying NFTs isn't paying for the design of the NFT but instead you just get a token of ownership which is the reason why the NFT is so expensive. Here is why I think the NFT industry is crap. We are not paying for the art, just the token that certifies us as "owners" of the particular NFT piece. Nonetheless, NFT industry serves it's purpose well for the rich who are selling pieces of AI generated images for tons of money, getting richer and richer. Still, I don't understand where do these buyers come from and what are their actual intentions in buying these NFTs. Is it to resell for a higher price or a way to launder dirty money?

The truth is that people would want to get into anything provided money can be made from it . They must take advantage of it.

The man is a popular and controversial character. His influence affected his collection as it sold out in a short time. The floor price was close to 1 ETH at all time high.
