Duck Farming is a popular business in India and around the world because ducks are popular for Eggs and Meat and people have started to prefer Duck eggs and meat as compared to chicken.

I was in grade when I saw my grandfather's second wife's duck business. In the morning, we gathered eggs from the ducks pens. It was fun chasing the ducks when it got out of the cage. I like harvesting the eggs

I think it is a good idea. The only concern is to prevent the ducks from having diseases. In this way, massive production of eggs and duck meat will be great without any shortcomings.

Yes, it is popular in India. Duck meat and eggs are commonly eaten here but I still prefer chicken.

When I was a child, our neighbor raised 3 ducks and they laid eggs anywhere I was so afraid because the duck's egg was so big. I thought it was the egg of an eagle, LOL. Well, it is a very good business if you have a wide grassy land for ducks are not like chickens that need nests, whereas, ducks could lay eggs anywhere even in an open field. So far, there is one in my place this time that raises ducks.

Hmm....is it the only difference between the egg of a duck and a hen. What is the difference in the taste? I never ate duck egg but I guess the taste is almost the same. Is it not popular in your country?

@Sanjee , I also haven't tasted duck eggs. I don't know if there is also egg yolk or only white. How nice if there are duck eggs sold in malls to prove my imagination right that a duck's egg has or has no egg yolk at all. I am so intrigued, hoping there is someone here who can share if a duck's egg has an egg yolk.

Maybe I ate a duck egg I cannot say that because one cannot make out a difference in what I feel. Maybe someone who has eaten can say it. Still, I feel ducks eggs are costlier than hen eggs.

I have not seen duck eggs for so many years. I was 5 years old when I saw duck eggs on our grassy farm. Duck eggs were hunted by kids before. early morning we gathered together and hunted duck eggs. The duck owners just watched us happily. They never care about the duck eggs whether to sell them, cook them, or be hatched.

It seems he was a kind-hearted person so didn't say anything to you. Here the people are not that good they won't allow you to touch the eggs and will ask for money if you break them or taking them.

Though we hardly eat duck in my family but the sellers here still make good sales as they are people that orefete then than chicken.

A duck hen can lay eggs many times a day. Why are people there so strict with kids? They better fence their ducks to avoid temptation. Kids are innocent and they want to explore and do experiments. Also, ducks have their own will where to lay their eggs.

I don't know why the people are so strict here. Kids are innocent and they don't know what is wrong and what is right. Do hens lay eggs at some specific place or what? Ducks seem to be carefree about their eggs.

Duck farming is not that popular in Nigeria. Because it has low in demand, it is not as popular as chickens and turkeys. I for Instance hate eating duck.

I also heard that duck meat is assumed to be healthier than chicken meat and thats why many people in our country are starting to switch to duck.

Sad to say, there is no duck farming in my location. There might be in some parts of my country. What is mostly raised here is poultry farming, the chickens.
