I only use it to promote by business link and also affiliate links. I don't know that they earn from it

We cannot earn directly from it but generating leads is not a piece of cake so it requires skills and not everyone's cup of tea but yes Linkedin can land you a good job if you work on your profile and check it daily at least once so definitely its useful

It was a writing job. I was able to write a curriculum vitae for one person and that was my first job
