Effects of motivation to your business

There are several cases where most business owners find it extremely hard to motivate their workers probably because they feel the workers are being paid, hence that's all the motivation they need. Some assume motivation would need to the workers feeling like they are their own boss. From your experience or point of view, what would you say the effort of motivation is to the business.

I think its best for the owner to give the workers incentive or salary increase, have a company outing and giving rewards to most punctual , best in performance based from evaluation from customers or clients.

That's the mistake they make. Salary and morivation are two different things. Salary motivates differently and moral support motivates differently.

You have a point there though. There are times all your efforts would or may not give you the desired results but in the end to keep the spirit of working, motivation is needed.

I think it can motivate employees in certain companies by giving them proper benefits and incentives. There are other ways to motivate them like promotion or giving rewards to them in corresponds to their good performances.

Motivating employees properly helps to increase his/her productivity and efficiency. Other than monetary reward such as pay raise, acknowledgement of a job well done and promoting the employee to a more senior position are effective methods.
