Embarrassing Mistakes in English

Have you ever made an embarrassing mistake in English? What was it?

With me, it generally has been the typical mistake when I was younger, to confuse words that sound alike, but are spelled differently. Kinda like the words, there, their, and they're.

The most common mistake that I have always been making has always had to do with tenses. And I am consciously working to correct and stop making those mistakes.

At first, I made mistakes when speaking with my online students. Although I can rephrase the sentences if I notice it. Not all ESL teachers can do this, though. It is a matter of practicing the proper grammar rules when constructing statements.

I use English as a second language. Even though I went to English medium school and college, I have average skills with English language and I frequently make mistakes
