From the few times that I have gotten to engage myself in some faucets I got to see that it is more like I am wasting my time and data performing their tasks as one hardly gets up to a dollar worth of whatever token that is being worked for in the site and only when one gets to have lots of referrals that are also very active can one get to some certain amounts in a very long time trying out the faucets.
Faucets seems as a waste of time.

I agree with you. Faucets seem to be a waste of time. I tried several faucet sites in the past but I gave them up because the earnings were too slow and low. I prefer other earning methods online which are more profitable.
Honestly the faucets were not created for you to earn a lot of money with them, they were created to promote the adoption of cryptocurrencies among people, it is true that it is difficult to make money there but they have a really positive function
