My question is as a business tycoon what do you do about faulty products that is being shipped from another continent knowing the time and resources it took to get to you.

The best alternative is to recall the products and refund the customers with apologies. This is far better because it will save the company's reputation and image. Secondly, to avoid litigation and out of court settlements, you should act fast.

You dont really have much of a choice other than to return it back, cause if you consider the time it would take, you would end up loosing instead of making profit. Or you could repair these faulty products yourself if its something that can be repaired with little cost, then sell them off on shops like ebay or olx and the likes.

It will be a big loss if it happens. That's the reason why companies need to hire people who will work in Quality Control. They can prevent this bad situation.

All you can do is alert customers to the issue and have customers bring the product back for a refund and apologize to the customers regarding the issue then you as the business owner have to send back the products that are faulty for a refund yourself and explain to whom you bought the products from the issue. As long as you do it professionally and offer a refund to any customers who purchased from you, you should be good.

It depends on the seriousness of the defects. In any case, I would report the case to the supplier and get the appropriate compensation. I may return the defective items or sell them at a big discount.
