There are numerous websites for banks that do not exist. Many were victims of this modus operandi by scammers. The innocent individuals trusted that they are in safe hands or banks. The modus of the scammers is to have a chat with a banker per se and then at the end of the chat money is requested to send for an initial deposit. The obvious scenario is the scammers’ websites look identical and are so close to each other, it seems cloned. The only difference is the name of the bank. They pattern their bank style from an existing bank to evade suspicions from the clients. If the bank they patterned is not real, it is so obvious that they duplicate each other.

They also use the same phrase “With over a million customers, we have stood the test of time, and our customers best speak the volume about us.” It is best for people not to believe right away, and why should they deposit their money online when there are banks anywhere in the city where they live? It was discovered by authorities that there are 222 duplicated websites of banks. It is so dangerous. They might be a gang, the same people who operate illegally anywhere in the world. Because of this modus operandi of the scammers, there is no need for them to design a website template because it is already duplicated and available, no identity verification is required, and no domain registers are required. These scammers have a ready convincing website with a little effort. Let us be keen and never be exploited.

Scammers are also improved their plans to scam, friend of mine received the phone call from the bank and the number was the similar Bank in which he was an account but Bank people they were just trying to scam him and trying to get their account number and further more details

I am very scared of all these online banking and credit card scams. Many people have fallen prey for it.

The problem is that the big majority of us are not lawyers and could not differentiate if it is a real website or a fake one and just discover when it is too late.

This is the main problem why so many people fall victim of scams or robbery because work and emotion have to be spare things and not the same thing in anyway to prevent losing money or funds or informations.

There are people abusing their money. They seem playing what they earned hardly. Sometimes they don't listen to their conscience for the thinking that money is not their problem . They want to explore and regret at the end of the rainbow.

I totally agree. The temptations and greed can be blinding and lead us to fall for scams. I am very skeptical about any such lucrative offers. I have been with one Bank for decades now. With this digitalized world and online banking, I find it convenient and time saving. But then there is always a risk of getting scammed.. I take care of all security precautions while using net banking but yet I feel vulnerable.

It's not good to try and do experiments that may eventually lead us to getting scammed. They're good at luring people easy to victimise. Just imagine 222 fake bank branches. People must not believe right away.

With so much of digitalization happening all over in the banks and finance sectors, the scammers are getting more and more active and innovative in their ways to victimise people. Also with online interface, it becomes very challenging for the common man to discriminate between a genuine site and a fake one.

They only thing is the appearance of the bank's website. You can make a comparison. When you check the contents they look senseless. You can't find authentic feedback. They just replace the bank name and those lacking know how immediately carried.

That's why it's advised that people should be extra vigilant on the dealings with money. Money plays a very important role in our lives and therefore we should be very careful with who you do transactions with.

Exactly let us not play dumb. Why gamble to an investment beyond the screen? Though there are also scams offline but it's not rampant as online because of the police authorities who capture them if caught and be jailed if found guilty.
