Alphabet CEO Sundar Panchai has confirmed that Google (a subsidiary of Alphabet Inc ) has developed a model that supports more than 400 languages, and it is still training to understand the 1k languages that are spoken in different parts of the world.​

Google is trying to be available in more and more languages, this include translate, but not only translate, other things too. A company can only become popular, if it covers most people, and for this, it needs to cover their language.

Google has done good to the world . With the help of Google translator, you can travel anywhere in the world where you do not understand their language and you will communicate with them.

You are correct because I was surprised when I saw some local languages which are not popular in my country on Google

I usually use Google Translate when teaching Chinese students online. They are claiming that the translations are not accurate. That is why I am trying to explain words or phrases instead.
