Hackers deleting files from computer remotely

Some online business owners, find that hackers are modifying and deleting the files on their computer to harass them. Does anyone know how to prevent the file modification/deletion?

as I don’t own an online business, however, I have been cyber-harassed and cyber-stalked online personally.

Well, I've reported them to the internet police of their region, and that's done. They have been trolling and flaming me because they have falling in love with me and I not caring about them have caused it.

They are capable of erasing your essential records and remotely copying photographs from your computer. They have the ability to uninstall any programs you have installed on your computer or steal your sensitive information. That is how leveled up hackers do these days.

This is very serious I think one should install softwares that might just keep these thieves from reaching their sensitive information.

Remote access can be blocked with Windows Firewall or any other firewall.
