When I was in Tajikistan, I was surprised with lots of differences in terms of eating food. I tried to search and learn the differences before eating or ordering some food in a restaurant. There are so many things that I learned in living to this Muslim country before.
Have you ever had trouble eating in a foreign country?

I don't eat outside my house. I find it difficult to eat outside and I always prepare myself before I travel. I prefer to eat biscuits, snacks and soft drinks than eating strange foods.
I have never had trouble eating in another country because I am kind of adventurous when it comes to food. I like trying out different cuisines whenever I have the budget.
I have not been to another country except Nepal but I didn't have any problem with eating food there as there are many Indians settled there and Indian food is easily available there. I will have a problem in the country where people mostly eat non-vegetarian food.
I have travelled to many countries and while here have eaten with foreigners while attending conferences and meetings.
I have traveled to many places and in general, I did not have problems eating the local foods there. It's just that when I was in Korea and Thailand, I did not have much choice as there are many spicy foods. I cannot take very spicy foods.
It is always a straining experience meeting foreign delicacies that one is not comfortable with. I have had this struggle.
