It has been almost a year that I bought a domain with GoDaddy. Now, I am planning to develop a website and start it. I was going to try WordPress. My husband has his blog running and he used WordPress. Seems like Weebly is also a good option.
Weebly is very costly though you can receive 14 days free trial. Weebly is good for webmaster that can be able to cough out their exorbitant costs. I prefer wordpress or blogger and I will upgrade once I start seeing results.
Oh! I don't want anything pricey. I have a blog with blogspot. For my website, I would go for WordPress. It has all features that is needed.
I didn't use it but if I want to start a website then I will definitely use it because I heard alot about it.
I have used Blogger, Wordpress and a few other drag and drop methods with varying costs associated with them, but I finally decided to learn how to take free CSS Templates and modify them with Notepad++ to create pages that are all mine with no restrictions or regulations to burden me. Now I know I will never go back to living like a hog being dragged around the barnyard by the ring in my nose, when I prefer to roam free with no one telling me what I can put on my pages or terminating my efforts by some arbitrary rules they devised to cripple me.
That is something new to me. It's definitely a wise thing to do. You have all the power and control and need not fear it being terminated if you violated their rules.
In this digital world, the need of a digital platform to showcase your business and skills is so important. More and more people are needing to have websites and they don't want to pay professional. Good that more and more such options are available.
I think that the free version is good enough for making a basic decent website. I have also heard good reviews about weebly. Is it free for unlimited period of time? Some are free for certain period of time but then you have to pay some basic fees, even for the basic version.
Weebly website are for just for purpose of making surveys this is I see a lot of people just running a weebly site with survey panel and request for people to complete them for earn money.
You can use weebly free for life time, there are no hidden fees. The free version will get you a sub domain site, for example, yoursite.weebly.com. The free version has limitations when it comes to monetization.
This is something very logical because they have a number of employees to pay and also they have maintenance fee so if everyone starts monetization without pay any cent so what is the benefic of the company?
Oh! I see. Thank you for the clarification. I would want to get my site monetized. I think that won't be possible with the free version. Can one start with the free version and get updated to premium one later.? One might not be sure if the website would click and so would be hesitant to pay a fee to begin with. But if the website goes well, one can think of paying and getting upgraded to premium one
I have heard about Weebly and many people have a lot of good things to say about it but I can't say that I have used it myself to create a website. I have been curious about Weebly though I just haven't had the time to check it out.
