Have you invested in fixed income mutual funds?

I came to know about this new investment instrument where you get fixed income investing in fixed income mutual funds and tha this possible because by generating income investing in bonds and other fixed income securities This includes investing in shares as there the income is uncertain. I no longer invest in any instruments but only have bank deposits.
