How can a company increase workers retention

it always cost good money for companies to recruit workers but before you know it these workers are moving to other places of work and the company have to waste money again on recruiting. How can this be stopped to retain workers?

A good salary and other benefits could retain a worker. There should be maternity leave of 3 months with pay, sick leave with pay for 1 month, 13th-month pay, Christmas bonuses, and a salary increase yearly. Though these may happen to multinational companies, not small ones.

I think the company and the workers should be able to sign an agreement of how many years the person wants to work and if it is complete and the person chooses to stay, they should sign another agreement

This is not practicable and don't think any company does that with it's workers in India

Since we are from different countries I am sure that we have different ways of employing people. We call some people contract workers here and it means that they will work for a particular period of time

Yes that's possible but I don't think it's applicable unless the company is working as per the company directions or under it's supervision.

Let me explain. There are some companies who help people to get jobs. The person will sign agreement with the company to get the job and will work for some months and leave the job they get from the company

This is for managerial staff and not for workers as per my knowledge and understanding

Yeah but contract work ends anytime. I don't just like this way of earning where one don't even have job security.

Most workers look for better salaries, good working conditions, more benefits on incentives like house allowances, commutance allowances, sitting, traveling and other incentives. So if employers could cater for this then they could retain the workers.

I agree with you most movement is always about a greener pastures for workers they need good Pay.

If the company is not changing their policies at random, then workers would continue to work with them. It happens to my former company, so there is no regret for me to resign

Company can stop this excessive money spent occasionally to recruit workers in different field by improving working conditions, enabling friendly relationships, good incentives provisions and promoting skillful training.

This is not rocket science. The company just has to take the welfare of its staff seriously. How can a school not give its staff a bottle of soft drink at the end of the year as an appreciation? They would jump ship at the first opportunity.
