How do shortlinks on PTC websites work?

Most of the PTC websites have a short link section. Does anyone know how the short links are working, how many websites the user has to view, to get credit for the shortlink?

I have been into some paid to click websites and that I am very much aware of the shortlinks.
However I haven't in a position to monetize through it

I understand that they have link shortners but have not used any of their shortened links before.

I tried this before but it did not last for a long time. It made me bored along the process. I will let others do it.

I am not on any paid to click site at the moment. What i am really confused about is the short link section on faucet sites. Most faucet sites have this section, but the annoying thing is that there is no explanation on how to do it.
