How do you avoid giving the wrong change to your customers in the business ?

Business persons can occasionally give wrong change to the customers. This is normal as human is to error. However this can cost the business badly especially when they give more change than the expected to them.
However they can initiate policies on the business like using Mobile banking as means of payment on the business.

Giving the wrong change is a simple error that can happen to anyone, all it takes is one miscalculation and you can give the wrong change. I would always suggest when giving change to someone that you are careful in how you count out the change and always find the time to double-check it. One would hope the customer would be honest if you had given them more change than they were owed but in some cases, we know not everyone will be that honest. Busy times though can make things more difficult especially if you need that extra time to check change before handing it over.

This kind of error is quite common but not that really common as many people think. I think that you must focus while dealing with customers in order to prevent this.

Train staff properly and regularly on the procedures for giving change. 6. Consider using a cash drawer to keep track of change given and received from customers.

Well, sometimes, you may not have the right amount of time to double check the change each and every time if there is a huge rush of the customers.

Giving wrong changes to customers is what should not be allowed to occur where there is proper accounting records. Though man is bound to make errors. But care must be properly taken.

The changes should not be abrupt. The transition should be done in a slow pace not to caught off guard their clients. It is the best course of action.

Giving the wrong change can be considered wrong if it happens a lot. But if it happens as a mistake that occurs once ina blue moon then that can be categorized as a simple mistake that can happen to anyone.

The best thing to do is repeat reading the tally of orders and their corresponding prices. Better that way than sorry.

We need to count the change carefully and also ask the customer, to count again if there is no cent lacking. I will not leave the counter unless I am sure my change is correct.

You have to attend to every customer one by one. So you would not get things mixed up. You don't try to multitask when you are selling else you would make this kind of errors.

This is where carefulness comes in , you need to be careful and do your calculations before taking out the change for any customers. if possible have a calculator to calculate

That's one thing that the cashless policy in Nigeria would eliminate. That is overpaying someone. But what happens to people that are overpaid and they leave with it without notifying the payer.

In this case both the buyer and the seller should be careful so that one don't overpay or the other giving more than the change. Sometimes this thing is just oversight
