How do you easily make friends

If you are new to a place how can you easily make friends. I know it can be difficult for some people

Making friends can just be natural. One can start with a simple gesture of smile and plainly saying Hello or hi. This can stir up conversation and eventually develop into a friendship.

Happened to me when i went to another city. (and i didn't go to school at the time). Went to a skatepark and made friends just by asking a friendly group to teach me. Honestly you can make any friend if you both have something in common to bond on.

Earlier on I was less introvert and used to make friends just like that but these days I am more selective and introvert so have less friends offline and even online
