How do you keep the bank account active?

Most people in my country have the tendency for opening bank accounts with different banks. The problem with them is that they lack funds for the accounts such that the accounts remain dormant.
What do you say?

It is stupidity to be parading many bank accounts with no funds inside. I would rather have just two bank accounts with some funds inside. Sooner or later, all those numerous accounts would become dormant.

As long as money comes in and out of the account you don't have to worry about the account being deactivated.

Why should you have many bank accounts when you are not using them? I prefer to have just a few accounts that I am sure I will keep active because I am actually using them.

You just need to maintain a little bit of a balance with each one. I can't speak for everyone, but I've never had an issue with a bank, so long as I had like $20 in it.

Most of my bank accounts are linked to UPI so I am able to send and receive payments with it and this way we can keep it active

The only way to keep your bank account active is by withdrawing funds even if it's a small withdrawal at least once in 6 months so if you have an online account then you can easily keep it active

Yeah, there needs to be a constant cash flow for the account to stay active. But you could also get your account activated in the bank if you have not been using it for a while.

There should be regular debits and credits from your account and then your account will be active otherwise they may temporarily close it and then you will be required to complete kyc to activate it
