It is often better to start setting a clear Financial goal for different kinds of things you want to do in life or different kinds of project that you want to embark upon, which could be buying a house or paying off debt.

I always try to make a scale of preference for anything I want to do. That way I will set a clear financial goal for what I want to achieve and invest on.

I think having a fixed amount of money you intend to get within a specific period of time is very effective. I did that last year and I actually find out that I was able to achieve it.
