How do you treat stressful but older customers in business?

There are some old people who come to my shop to patronize me and I must say that I’m really glad that they are patronizing me but some of them always stress me and make me talk too much. Some of them also want to start buying on credit.
What do you think I should do to them or how do ton think I can deal with them

You’re right. I also had to adjust my standard because some customers will want to stress life outside of you so I just have to adjust the way I relate with them

I still treat them with respect. The only time I was rude to an older customer was because the man was not acting mature in anyway.

Older customers should be treated with every form of courtesy. Don't allow them to stress. Give them a chair to sit while you serve them.
