How hard it is for a website to change its name?

I think it's very hard and it may miss some of the users that are not active on different forums like what happened with me as the forum My forum Dot link changed its name to Forum Index Dot link but I was not aware of it and thanks to my discussion with a friend I came to know about this update.

I do not have idea about it just knew it now from you. Perhaps they keep on changing to escape from an anomaly. That owner might avoid paying people.

When a name is been changed there should be a redirect to the new name from the previous name

I do not have any experience with this so I can't really say for sure though, but i believe it might not be that hard, the major issue is alerting all their members about the change.

It is generally the same thing everywhere. It is a very sensitive thing for any business to change its name. A business name is the most important component of your brand and you don't have to be changing it anyhow.

I think there are must be reasons for websites to change their names. When business want to change the type of Businesses they used to deal with they likely to change the name of the website too.

I don't think changing names is actually something that is very hard to do. There are a lot of reasons websites change names and one of it is as a result of rebranding.

Changing the name of the website requires additional costs by the sense that, hiring for the experts that would do the work for you can be too costly in deed.

I think it's like playing with fire so they don't need to change names like that as it will only backfire and won't work
