Some companies held meeting in the end of the week generally friday or saturday to have new weeks planning placed and on monday everyone knows his rights and his duties after this everyone do his task.

I am basing it from my work place. Meetings are done monthly by department unless there is emergency meeting. But it seldom happens. Also in a multinational company where my sister works they only have meeting once a month.

When I used to work in gsk sales force then in start they started with daily meetings in morning after then they changed to 2times in a week, then finally they realize that sales force must spend more times in field so they must come in office once a week, and finally there were only one weekly meeting.
