How much does it cost to start a TV Channel?

I know it's not possible for a common man to start it but I feel it requires a lot of money and would like to know how much does it actually cost as I have seen Reliance have started to roll over it's TV channels and they have almost 10 channels already and majority are focusing on sports and entertainment.

It is definitely a costly investment. I believe it can run into tens of millions. It also involves acquiring licence from government, which I believe is very costly. Employing seasoned and experienced staff still involves money. I have not included land and buildings the structure. It is definitely a huge project

Yes that may be because of lack if funds that people have to do a partnership in business.

I cannot name an actual price but I know that it cost a little money because someone can start a TV program on YouTube first

It must be costing millions if not more as they also need to pay fee to TRAI and also to different DTH platforms to add their channel at first

It is very much easy but it is just one problem. It is hard for beginners to earn money. I don't even know how people with TV stations earn money

To start up a TV channel you will need a lot of capital because it is a capital intensive business and you also need some bit of experience in the media practicing.
