How often do you take a backup of your website?

For members who have one or more websites, how often do you take a backup of your website? For forums, what is the best tool for taking a backup of your database, so that it can be easily restored?

A forum suppose to have every day backup. I believe many webmasters use to automates backup. It is very important to automate sites backup to avoid regrets. Some hosting companies have backup features in their c panel

I do not know much about this but I think it is important to backup your website regularly so that you will not lose informations

For all the websites we have at the moment we have them scheduled to do a backup at least once a week. We also backup the site our selves if we need to upgrade the software or even make changes to the site that may go wrong so that if we have any issues, we can always revert back to the backup we took.

I need how to backup my files on my website because I was told that it is expensive to backup your files.

You just need to have backup of database. Script should be done just one time. Later install script again and import latest version of database. For database backup you have tool in Cpanel admin.

I think a weekly backup would be good, but I would also like to have a backup of the backup. Most hackers attack your backup, and without a secondary backup, you could lose everything.

It depends on the site owner. Some site owners allow for weekly backups while others allow for daily. The important thing is that you must have a backup system.

I do not have a website for now. I think i would back up my website weekly when i finally own one. If i have the time, i could back up my website daily.

No, i do not think it's safe to back it up once in a month. To be on the safe side it's better to back it up weekly and if you have time daily or once in two days.
