For me l live in a hot and dry climate. With that being said we just survive without the need for blanket because of the constantly hot weather for sure.
As we only have two season here, wet season is not really cold here. So buying new blankets often is not something practical to do. We will have may at least 2 or 3 that we use to change weekly. Take note, we don't use it every night.

I do not buy blankets frequently as I live in a tropical country where the climate is warm throughout the year. It has been three years since I last bought one.
I do not buy new blanket often. I have use my current blanket for more than 6 years. When the season change, I dry clean my blanket and put it in the cabinet.
