I started building self-hosted sites in 2015, however, the first and the second site that I created have been already sold. My oldest site has been running since march 2016. It is a multi-site with 4 different sites, one is a travel blog, the second one is a recipe blog, third one is a news site, and the fourth is an online store. Sadly, the site does not generate a lot of revenue from the online store and generates only small revenue from the blogs.

I no longer have the site that was my oldest site, I had to let that go in 2017 when my hosting went up quite a bit and it was no longer in the budget for me to be able to afford it, so I had to make the difficult decision to close it in 2017. I had the site from 2019 - 2017 so it was 8 years old nearly when I finally closed it. I am in the process of opening up a site now though that I hope will live as long if not longer than my last one.
