How to handle a micromanager

If you find your self working with a micromanager that like to meddle in your line of duties you can do the following.


Try to bring the annoying habit to their notice. Some might be oblivion of the habit for a change

Be. patient with those that are working to effect a change

For the adamant ones always deliver on your job to keep them off your back

I believe the best way to handle such kind of persons is to study them and understand them. If you if you do not study them, there would always be clashes.

Exactly, there would always trouble in can't handle this kind of persons. So it will be wise to study them and understand them and approach them wisely when they need arises

It is not easy to work with a micro manager. You need to be patient. Try to analyze and understand why s(he) is exhibiting such kind of behavior.. Is it due to mistrust or lack of self confidence. I would talk to him/her my feeling in a polite manner and try to get his/her trust in my decision making capability.

The best and easy way is to be patient and be accommodating. Try to explain challenges you are facing with your work and try to make your points clear. Sometimes, our inability to communicate appropriately equally contributes to our problem with some managers.
