A lot of people would be better off if their parents had taught them about this, but we can do better for our family and kids now.

If you want your kids to learn this, you have to start teaching them at an early age. Let them learn a skill and teach them what it means to make money with their hard work, you could teach them how to do something and be the first to purchase from them, so they can have that feeling that they worked for that money, trust they won't spend it anyhow, compared to when you just dash them.
